Good to know
Two private wooded acres, mountain views from nearly every room, and enough space for everyone to spread out — this is the kind of place families come back to year after year. The sleeping situation works for everyone. The master suite has a king bed, private en-suite with double sinks and a walk-in shower, and a master closet — parents get their own retreat within the retreat. The second main level bedroom has another king bed. The kids' room has a twin-over-twin bunk fully stocked with toys, books, and games — kids claim it as their own the moment they walk in. The finished basement hosts another bedroom with king bed and a private bathroom. Every mattress is high quality memory foam mattress, so everyone wakes up rested. The kitchen is genuinely equipped for real family cooking — double oven, large fridge with ice maker, and enough cookware, pans, and baking gear to make anything from a pancake breakfast to a full holiday dinner. A Weber propane gas grill is ready for family BBQs for some quality time together. We have kids silverware, plates, bowls and a high chair all to help with even the littlest ones. When it's time to unwind: gather around the indoor gas fireplace for a movie upstairs, or play a board game by the basement electric fireplace in the game room. Take the kids or the rest of the family out to the fire pit, or let them loose in the game room while you soak in the hot tub — everyone wins. Everything you need for a seamless stay is here: full-size washer and dryer, Smart TVs with your favorite streaming apps, and Starlink high-speed WiFi. Pack light — this place has you covered. Leave with the kind of memories families talk about for years.
Other Details to Note
Getting Here — Please Read Before You Arrive Good news first: the driveway itself is paved, so once you're on the property, you'll have no issues in any vehicle. The access road leading to us is a single-lane gravel road through a beautiful rural valley — scenic, quiet, and perfectly manageable in standard vehicles, including sedans, minivans, and passenger cars. What helps most: Take the access road slowly — it's single-lane, so if you meet another vehicle, one of you will need to find a wider spot to pass First-time arrivals: we strongly recommend coming during daylight so you can get your bearings on the valley road. It's unlit at night and harder to navigate on your first visit Winter visits: the gravel & paved road can get slick in snow or ice — check road conditions before departing, November through February. Not sure if this property is the right fit for your family? Just ask — we're happy to answer any questions and make sure this is exactly the right place for your trip. Your Privacy & Security: For the safety and security of our guests and property, an exterior security camera monitors the driveway and entry points. There are no cameras inside the home or in any private guest areas — your privacy indoors is completely protected. We take both your safety and your privacy seriously.

Neighborhood
Kitchin Road is a rural valley in North Carolina. Nestled between the towns of Sylvia, Bryson City, Cherokee, and the entrance to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. You'll drive up a single lane gravel road past old barns built around the turn of the century. It is a beautiful rural place to unplug, relax, unwind, spend time with family, and to get lost strolling up/down the valley road to see the horses, goats, etc. that call the valley home.
